"Riding clockwise, from 48th & hillside you follow original hwy 50 to Peabody (it left Newton on Old Trails, then n on Hillside). Enter Walton on grant, exit north on N Walton, easiest way between these streets is to cut through parking lots of the Hilltop and Whistlestop. 96th from US50 to Peabody is paved, you can drop a mile south to 84th if you prefer but you'll have to go back to 96th before you get to town. Food and drinks at Hilltop and Whistlestop in Walton, Coneburg Inn in Peabody (bar & grill, nw corner of town, on Nighthawk just s of US50)."
